a new chapter begins
i know you all are disappointed
it hurts, itdoes, that single point
yet look back and do be pleased
for your rich history and times shared
i myself may have experienced not this season
with you brothers, runners, friends
however, i do know one thing
you share moments of joy, pain and hope
joy of training as a break from school
joy of friendships aplenty and bountiful
joy of camaraderie and getting stronger
joy of, best of all, lovely laughter
pain of training as part of strengthening
pain of missing training due to sickness and injury
pain of disappointment of bad-run races
pain of discouragement as a result of the afore mentioned
hope of training to bring yourselves to new heights
hope of times without sorrow
hope of good news that a brother is back in action
hope of a faster time tomorrow
you all have each other to support and be supported by
thus i pray you blame not each other
pain happens and you have to take it in your stride
using it to get stronger
remember that i share you hurt and so it should be less
and that life's hardest moments are all but God's tests
how you all have tried and sometimes its not meant to be
but that no matter what, no matter how you have AcXcountry
cheerio, my brothers who have walked the path less chosen.
for those who think they have disappointed, i know the feeling.
truth be told, i'm really sore about messing up for rj.
but the sun has set and let it have borne with it the pain.
do not let disappointment stagnate you progress. instead, use it-
to spur yourselves on... on to a faster time and better finish.
