today as i was talking to reuben ong
he told me that jordan told him
that he felt us crossers
are the closest knit bunch around
closer than any of the rest
closer than all those regular gold teams
as i heard him say those things
it struck something inside of me
it meant so much to me
for the longest while i've known deep down
that we are a special bunch
that we are beyond just a cca
and that we embody what a team is really about
to say the least we were not accomplished runners
nor were we all dsa-ed
to forcefully piece top runners together
to so called artificially win the title
we're the pure acx breeds
taken from a bunch of unlikely runners -
overweight, weak lungs, anemic.
forged together by the adhesive called team spirit
and from there we never looked back
i want to have something to show for it
something to place there so when i look at it
i can remember it all
we must win this year
